What We Believe

About the Bible

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative word of God, written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirt. We further believe that all scripture is given by inspiration of God, therefore, both the Old and New Testament are relevent and beneficial for Christian living.

About God

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons who are co-equals; the Father is God, the Son is God and the Holy Spirit is God.

About Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles; in His substitutionary and atoning death through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to right hand of the Father; and in His personal return in power and glory.

About the Holy Spirit

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential and the repentance form sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to come into a relationship with God.

About Salvation

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential and the repentance form sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to come into a relationship with God.

About Eternal Life

We believe in the resurrection in both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation.

About Baptism and the Lord's Supper

We believe that it is important to uphold the scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we hold to the practice of water baptism by immersion and the regular taking of the Lord's Supper. We do not believe that either of these practices is necessary for salvation but that they serve as a demonstration of our living faith in Jesus Christ.

Roman Road to Salvation (NIV Translation)

The Roman Road to Salvation is a selection of Bible verses taken from the book of Romans the present the plan of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

If you have not yet confessed and believed in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please read and consider the meaning of each verse and act accordingly.

I consider myself a good person, won't that be enough?

Romans 3:23 - All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:10 - As it is written: "There is no one righteous, note even one."

Roman 5:12 - Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned.

Is sin really that big of a deal? if it is what hope is there?

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

After what I've to grieve God, how could He willlingly die in my place?

Romans 5:8 - But God demostrates his own love for us this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

How can I be saved?

Romans 10:9-10 - If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Did God hear me? Did He accept Me?

Romans 10:13 - For, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

What do I do now?

Romans 10:17 - Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word oabout Christ.

Welcome to all,

Grace and Peace to you from God in this place, I welcome you to the Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. We seek to be a church that knows Christ and make Him known in everything we do.

God's word always accomplishes it's objective and it's objective simply is the transformation of lives and building up the kingdom of God. What has always motivated me is the miracles of seeing lives changed. The word of God is what has changed and continues to change my life. It is my desire as a Pastor/Preacher/Teacher to see lives tranformed through the hearing and doing the word of God. It is my greatest prayer that we would abide in His word and continue to bring forth fruit, more fruit, and much fruit.

Thank you, Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church for allowing me to pastor with joy and not with sorrow.
